Head coach for Ghana’s Black Stars Charles Kwablan Akonnor has released Asante Kotoko SC defender Abdul Ganiyu, Medeama SC’s Rashid Nortey and Gladson Awako of Great Olympics to join their clubs ahead of the Ghana Premier League match-week 28 games.
The trio who had been with the Stars since they begun camping in Cape Coast have been given permission by the gaffer to play their weekend games in the domestic league.
Midfield-gem, Rashid Nortey will link up with his teammates in Tarkwa as they prepare for the Western Region derby against Karela United tomorrow at the Akoon Park.
Great Olympics maestro, Gladson Awako has also been permitted by the coach to join his colleagues for their Sunday’s GA-Mashie Derby against Accra Hearts of Oak.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC dependable defender, Ismael Abdul Ganiyu who looked as a sure starter in the friendlies Ghana will play against the Atlas Lions on Tuesday, May 8 in Rabat and before hosting the Elephants on Saturday, May 12 at the Cape Coast stadium has been also given the chance to feature in the Ashanti Region derby against Ashantigold SC in Obuasi.
All the teams are using the games as preparation for their upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
