Stand-in skipper Andre Dede Ayew has downplayed the suggestions by a cross-section of the Ghanaian media that the match against the Pharaohs of Egypt is one that will pass the judgement on whether the Ghana will be present in Australia or not.
Egypt leads Ghana with two points and a win against the Black Stars will give them a five point cushion at the top of the group. Whiles Dede agrees that it’s a must not lose game, he doesn’t buy the assertion that it’s a decider as being propagated in the media.
“This game is an important game but not a decider. The important thing is for us to play a good game and leave Egypt with something. After this game we have four matches more so it is not a decider”. Dede said
The Black Stars will square it off with the highly favoured Egyptians who have been tipped to win on Sunday at the Alexandria stadium.
