Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed confidence in the significant strides his administration has made in advancing football across the country.
Addressing the 30th Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku shared the accomplishments of the GFA under his leadership and outlined their vision for the future.
The 2024 Congress, themed “Winning the Twelfth Man – Fixing the Fundamentals; Consolidating Our Gains,” provided a platform for discussing the progress in key areas such as capacity building, talent development, and infrastructure improvement.
Reflecting on the past year, Okraku stated, “We have seen 12 months of fulfilment of a lot of things I spoke about in Kumasi, about a year ago. It’s been 12 months of strategic and systematic support for our football clubs.”
He also highlighted the GFA’s commitment to training and development, noting that over 1,500 coaches and 1,600 young referees have been trained, which underscores the association’s dedication to strengthening the foundation of Ghanaian football.
