Ghanaian center-back Mohammed Salisu was red carded in Southampton’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur FC at the St. Mary’s Park on Tuesday.
The former Real Valladolid player did not last the entire duration of the first half as he was shown the exit door for an early shower after bringing down Heung-Min Son inside the box.
Salisu was a shade late with his tackle on Son and has to go and take the early shower after receiving two yellow cards for bad tackles.
The resulting penalty kick was expertly converted by captain, Harry Kane to make it 1-1 after James Ward-Prowse 25th minute stunner strike to give the Saints the lead.
Salisu, who rejected Black Stars call-up played 39 minutes of the match before he was red carded to give the visitors a numerical advantage for the greater part of the match.
The game ended 1-1.
