Ghanaian attacker Maxwell Boadu Acosty, was on target for HNK Rijeka in their 3-1 win over NK Varazdin.
Boadu, 28, registered his third league goal of the season for Rejika in the Croatian top-flight on Saturday.
Acosty broke the deadlock for HNK Rijeka after just 11 minutes into the game.
Rijeka were the better and dominated play in the first 45 minutes but could only end the first half with just one goal advantage.
Antonio-Mirko Colak made it two for the home side in the 47th minute, two minutes into the second half.
NK Varazdin who sit bottom of the league could nor display and sign of positivity against a determined HNK Rijeka side till the 83rd minute of action when Dejan Glavica converted a penalty to make it 2-1.
Colak scored his second and third goal of the match to ensure Rijeka santch all important three points at home.
Rijeka cruised to a commanding 3-1 victory at home to go second on the league log with seven points adrift leaders Dynamo Zagreb.
