AS Roma were defeated 2-1 at home by AC Milan during Week 11 of the Serie A on Sunday night as Roma manager Jose Mourinho offered 45 minutes of action to Ghana’s Felix Afena-Gyan.
Milan – inspired by the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic – took the lead in the 26th minute thanks to a powerful free-kick from the Swedish who celebrated 400th career league goal.
Mourinho – who has a history with Ghanaian footballers – brought on Afena-Gyan to replace Mkhitaryan at the start of the second period as Roma searched for the equalizer but Milan increased their lead in the 57th minute with a Franck Kessie converted penalty.
Roma now drops to 4th place on the league table with 19 points after 11 games whilst Milan are joint-top of the standings alongside Napoli – on 31 point each.
