Nottingham Forest forward Andre Ayew is excited to be back on the pitch following his injury on international duty with Ghana against Angola last month.
Ayew was a second half substitute as he came on to replace injured Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis after the 70th minute mark in the game against Leeds.
“Difficult result today. We will not give up, we will keep going👊🏽 thanks to the travelling fans 🤲🏽 good to be back on the pitch,” he wrote on social media.
Nottingham Forest are winless in their last eight matches in the 2022-23 English Premier League with their last victory coming against Leeds United FC at home on February 5th which leaves them in the battle to survive relegation.
There was little Ayew could do to help his side from avoiding defeat as their poor run of form continue in the English Premier League.
The 33-year-old former Olympic Marseille player is yet to hit the ground running at his new club since joining them in January from Qatar Stars League giant Al Sadd SC.
