Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan is confident the Tamale Stadium will be filled to capacity on Friday for the opening world cup qualifier against Uganda.
Black Stars matches have enjoyed low patronage since the 2014 world cup but Gyan believes the situation will be different this time around.
Speaking to pressmen after the team arrived in Tamale Wednesday, Gyan disclosed that “They came to meet us at the airport and we are really happy about the turnout. I’m expecting the stadium to be full on Friday and we will deliver the three points for Ghanaians”
Gyan also played down the impact the hot Tamale weather could have on the team “the hot weather will be a bit difficult for us we are used to it. This is not the first time we will be playing under such weather condition”.
The Black Stars will be hoping to have a bright start to the world cup qualification when they host the Cranes of Uganda tomorrow.
