German-born Ghanaian forward, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has been likened to Bayern Munich ace Serge Gnabry by his manager at FC St. Pauli, Timo Schultz following his thunderous display at the club.
The former Eintracht Braunschweig attacker joined the German Bundesliga 2 side this year after ending his 2-year spell with Wehen Wiesbaden.
In the opening fixture of the 2020/2021 football season in Germany, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh scored two goals to earn a point for FC St. Pauli in the team’s 2-2 draw against VfL Bochum.
Speaking on the performance of the forward, Coach Timo Schultz, indicated that the Ghanaian has similar the qualities of Bayern Munich attacker Serge Gnabry.
“I like to compare him to Serge Gnabry. He’s already played alone in the front. This works out. You are just not allowed to act with wide, high balls. Then it doesn’t make any sense”, the FC St. Pauli gaffer told Bild.
Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, 24, is yet to be capped by either Ghana or Germany at the national team level.
