Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Frank Nuttall has called on the club’s supporters to offer positive support to the team in their Sunday’s Ghana Premier League last game of the first round against Liberty Professionals.
The Phobians who have gone seven games without a loss and will travel to Dansoman to play as visitors to the Scientific Soccer Lads and the Scottish trainer positive support is all that the players need to secure a respectable result in the crucial match.
Hearts ended league leaders WAFA unbeaten run on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be hoping to at least pick a point in Dansoman.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s match head Coach Frank Nuttull the club’s website accraheartsofoaksc.com that “It is important that the fans support the team and give the players positive support and help them through [out a game] and encourage them,” He said.
“They are human beings, they make mistakes, and they are not going to do everything perfectly.
“When they are watching Hearts of Oak, they should not expect Champions’ level football. The plan is to get them into Championship level and that is the future and that is what we are trying to do but whilst we are here, we need to keep encouraging the players.”
“The players trained well because we gave them a day rest on Wednesday and so they trained well on Thursday,” Nuttall continued.
“We have recovered well from the previous game and we have given the players a little bit of time to unwind before we start to wind them up again and ready in preparation and focused for the next game.
“It does not really matter whether it is the last game of the first round, we always try to win. A week after that, we have got another game and a week after that too we have got another game so I think we always focus on the next game and always try to win the next game.”
