After a series of internal unrest in the club which led to the resignation of interim Head Coach Yaw Preko and keepers trainer Nasamu Yakubu, Ghanaian giant Accra Hearts of Oak have finally started pre-season training on Sunday, 6th June 2016 at the University of Ghana Legon Ajax Park.
The team returned to training for the first time since the 2016 season ended and have set their sights on getting in shape and ready for the coming season.
Newly appointed assistant coach of the club, Mr. Henry Lamptey Wellington supervised the close to 2-hour training session on Sunday morning.
The Acting Managing Director of the club Mr. Vincent Odotei-Sowah, Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo and Board member Alhaji Braimah Akanbi were all at the venue to watch proceedings and to welcome the players.
Back-from-injury duo Robin Gnagne and Richard Yamoah took part in the training exercises together with a sizeable number of existing players of the club and aspiring Hearts players.
The team will continue training at the same venue on Monday morning.
