Aduana Stars FC head coach Asare Bediako has lebeled Accra Hearts of Oak SC style of play as ‘possession without progressing after Sunday’s clash in Accra.
The former assistant coach of the Phobians now with Aduana Stars FC was not impressed with the performance of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League Champions.
In a post-match interview after the game, coach Asare Bediako enumerated on the fact that Hearts possessed the ball without any transition and that was their main weak line on the pitch.
“Hearts were only dominating possession in their half without any progression. It made us relaxed knowing we could punish them when we win the ball with high pressing.
“I think that style of play will not help them and there needs to be a progression when possessing the ball. They were lucky on the day” He concluded.
Hearts of Oak have started their title defense of the league very slowly with just 3 points from three points sitting 11th in the league.
Aduana Stars on the other hand also sit 13th on the standings with 2 points after losing once and drawing twice in their three games this season.
