Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos was extremely excited after the 2-0 victory over Morocco. Speaking with the press, the 71-year-old Belgian tactician was all smiles and talked about his happiness.
“I don’t think I have to tell you I am very happy”, said Hugo Broos.
The South African head coach when quizzed about how excited he was after the win, couldn’t hide it.
“We beat Morocco and it is not only because we are in the quarter-finals (that I am happy about), but beating a team like Morocco is something special”, said Broos. Bafana Bafana was the second favourite against Morocco yet defied the odds and beat the number-one-ranked team on the continent.
“I didn’t do it, it was the players who did it. I can just tell the players what they have to do”. Hugo Broos credited his men for the wonderful job they did on Tuesday night.
“Every coach hopes that what he is telling the players is the right thing.
“Until now, it was not always the right thing. But also because the players did what we asked them”, added Hugo Broos.
Bafana Bafana fought well against Morocco and will square off against Cape Verde in the quarter-finals.
