Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah says he does not intend to return to the Ghana Premier League.
Gyimah started his football career in the local league with Sekondi Hasaacas and later Wa All Stars, now Legon Cities before moving to Super Sports United in South Africa, where he has established himself as a cult hero in the Rainbow country.
The Black Leopards star was asked during an interview if he has any plan of returning to the Ghana Premier League before hanging his boots, “I started my football in Ghana but I have been in South Africa for years and I really enjoy the South African league.”
“I have no intention of playing in the local league before I retire as a player because if I don’t travel to Europe I will hang my boot in the South African league,” he told Alpha Radio in Kumasi.
He has made 8 appearances for Ghana since making his debut in 2012.
