Real Tamale United FC skipper, David Abagna Sandan has expressed his utmost disappointment over his continued National Team snub ahead of the 2021 AFCON tournament.
The 23-year-old box-to-box and midfield-anchor believes he’s had a better statistics than some players who received national team call-up in the past.
According to him, his former colleague at Obuasi Ashantigold SC, Yaw Annorl and other teammates were shocked by his local Black Stars snub during his stay in Obuasi.
“When I was at Ashgold, I had better statistics but when the local Black Stars was called, Yaw Annorl was the one invited. Even himself and my own team mates were surprised”, he stayed.
He further revealed that he’s scored double figures of goals as a midfielder in all the past seasons he’s played in the Ghana Premier League.
“I’ve scored double figures in all the full seasons I had as a midfielder”- David Abagna, the RTU captain concluded.
Abagna is the top scorer for the Blue and Whites outfit since their return to the Ghana Premier League this season.
