Asante Kotoko have congratulated Goalkeeper Razak Abalora and defender Christopher Nettey for their invitation into the Black Stars team for this month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Sudan.
Abalora was named among three goalkeepers selected by Coach Charles Akonnor.
With the Black Stars camp hit with massive medication concerns, Akonnor has invited Nettey together with six new players for the two games.
”Due to medical reasons, Coach of the Black Stars C. K Akonnor has made seven additions to his squad ahead of Ghana’s double header against Sudan.” the Ghana FA said on Monday morning.
”The players include Andrew Kyere Yiadom (Reading FC), Majeed Ashimeru (Red Bull Salzburg), Joseph Attamah Larweh (Keyserispor), Afriyie Acquah (Yeni Malatyaspor) and Clifford Aboagye (Tijuana FC).
”The rest are Kwadwo Amoako (AshantiGold SC) and Christopher Nettey (Asante Kotoko SC).
”C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S to our gallant warriors Razak Abalora and Christopher Nettey. Go make us proud.” the club wrote on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
