Following Asante Kotoko’s draw against Legon Cities, midfielder Richmond Lamptey remains hopeful about his team’s chances of winning the Ghana Premier League title.
Despite failing to secure a victory, Kotoko currently sits in sixth position on the league table. The team’s match against Legon Cities ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with the Royals equalizing in the 70th minute.
Lamptey, who was named the Man of the Match, encouraged Kotoko’s fans to continue supporting the team, expressing confidence that they can successfully defend their title.
“I will urge our fans not to be discouraged. They should keep supporting us and I am confident we will defend the title” he said.
Kotoko’s next match will be against Real Tamale United on matchday 25, to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium.
