Spokesperson for the ministry of Youth and Sports minister- Kofi Asare Brako claims immediate-past Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah is not hungry, but has enough money from the 27 months payments he received from Ghana.
The seasoned journalist, has incessantly slammed the former Ghana captain for demanding to be paid his unpaid $185,000 wages by the Ghana Football Association.
Abatay, as commonly known, argues on Accra-based Asempa FM that the coach has enough money to spend and must give the Ministry time to pay the arrears.
“Kwasi Appiah is not hungry, he is a big man, he has enough money, we have paid him over 27 months salaries, plus a signing on fee of $250,000” he claimed.
Appiah, 61, was given a two year contract in 2017, and further extended till December 2019, but the Ghana FA failed to new his contract aexpiration.
Before exiting, the soft-spoken gaffer, was owned 5 months salaries spanning August to December 2019.
The coach has since sent notice to the FA of his intent to drag the country’s football governing body to FIFA for his money.
