Veteran coach, J.E Sarpong has distanced himself from the vacant Hearts of Oak coaching job due to the club’s current mess.
The former Okwahu United trainer, says he is unimpressed with the current plight of the club after the resignation of interim coach Yaw Preko coupled with the departures of goalkeeper’s trainer Nasamu Yakubu and masseur Aliu Adjetey [Ozii Ozaa] within this week.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Wamputu sports whether he would be interested in the club’s first team coaching vacant position, J. E Sarpong stated, “No, I will not join Hearts for anything in the world at this moment.”
“The club is boiling and at this point in time, any coach who’d seek for that job will face hell because there’s an instability now, but that’s not to say they don’t know what they’re about. However, if Yaw Preko, Nasamu and now Ozii have all resigned, why should I go in for such a job, no, only a lunatic will take such a decision.”
“The management that foresaw the club’s success under the tutelage of the late Jones Attuquayfio were very supportive, not this one. I wouldn’t dare advise anybody to take such decision because the place has become a deathtrap.”
The Phobians are set announce a substantive coach before the start of the GHALCA G6 tournament.
