Aduana Stars have moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League table following their away vital draw with Medeama on Saturday afternoon.
The Yellow and Mauves side were held to a 0-0 draw by the Ogya Lads in their week 24 crunch fixture at the Tarkwa T & A Park.
Aduana Stars dominated play in the first half but failed to find the back of the net.
Derrick Srasraku’s powerful header in the 7th minute went wide as Bright Adjei missed another clear opportunity in the 13th minute to deny Yusif Bassigi’s side a win.
Elvis Opoku and Zakaria Mumuni frustrated the host with their passes in midfield but that could not earn them all three points in the crucial away fixture.
Goalkeeper Joseph Addo saved a late powerful shot from Latif Salifu to end the first half of the match in a goalless draw.
Back from recess, Medeama mounted pressure on Aduana in their bid to grab the lead but the Ogya lads were quick lifted up their performance to deny Medeama the opportunity to hit the back of the net.
Thanks to Aduana Stars goalie Joseph Addo superb save in the 85th minute that denied Medeama a late winner.
