Ghana’s young forward Nana Kofi Babil is on cloud nine after putting pen to paper at Austrian top-flight SCR Altach.
The 18-year-old had a breakthrough season in the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League with Tarkwa-based side Medeama SC and was on the radars of top clubs around the world prior to his move to Austria.
The ecstatic teen revealed the reason behind his move to Altach despite having many suitors who were chasing after his signature.
Nana Kofi Babil: ” Moving to Europe is a dream come true. I would like to thank the SCR Altach in particular for giving me this opportunity. I would like to justify this trust and will do everything I can to help the club to be successful. I have already heard that the SCR Altach is one of the top addresses for the development of young players in Austria and that is why I decided to take this step. ”
Babil scored four times in 12 games for the Yellow and Mauves in the abandoned 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
