Accra-based FIFA referee, Daniel Laryea, has been given the mandate by the Referees appointment Committee to officiate the Normalisation Committee Special Competition Tier II final between AshantiGold SC and Nzema Kotoko at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, June 30.
The 32-year-old young man will be assisted by Paul Atimaka, from Aflao and Accra-based Class One referee, F.D. Ocansey.
The fourth referee will be Class One referee, Bashiru Dauda, from Sunyani.
As the nation’s leading referee currently, Laryea has already been earmarked by FIFA for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Referee Laryea, made history in the 2013/2014 as the youngest referee to officiate in the Premier League at age 24.
The winner of the final will represent Ghana in the 2019/2020 Caf Confederation Cup.
Asante Kotoko have already booked tickets to play in the CAF Champions League following their win over Karela United in the Tier I final last Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
