Ghanaian international Nicholas Opoku is scheduled to be back in action in January after a long injury lay off.
The towering central defender has spent six months already in the treatment room after damaging the ligaments in his knee but he has started light training after having surgery in July.
“Opoku continues his work with Pierre-Alexis Bouvier who is the second physical trainer on an individual basis every day. We should be able to slip him into our training sessions quickly,” Amiens coach Philippe Hinschberger stated.
” I’m not a doctor, but maybe in a month, he can come back. It went very quickly because he didn’t have the surgery until the end of July. I find his return very quick. ” He added.
The return of Opoku will be very useful to Amiens as they hope to get out of the relegation zone.
