Ghanaian defender Arago Jamal has completed a 2-year deal with Azerbaijani Premier League club Sabail FC after successfully completing the mandatory medicals.
The former Ghana-U20 left-footed defender who had a good season with FK Drita in the Kosovo Premier League and in the UEFA Europa Conference League signed the two-year deal with the side on Thursday afternoon.
Jamal will be the second Ghanaian to play for Sabail FC after Chelsea star Michael Essien who ended his football career at the side.
The former champion of the MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show has experienced one of the most incredible seasons in his career.
Jamal played a total of about 40 games for Drita this season in all competitions, scoring once, assisting 4 times, and winning MVP Awards on 9 occasions in the Kosovo top flight.
His incredible performance for Drita in the UEFA Europa Conference League attracted several suitors including sides from the German Bundesliga II.
