Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with defender, Evans Owusu according to multiple sources in and around the club.
According to various reports, the defender was sacked at the request of head coach Maxwell Konadu.
Report say the player was not called to be informed about the decision by the coach nor the management about their decision to cut the ties between the two parties.
Various media outlets in Kumasi claim that, the player was removed from the team’s WhatsApp group only for him to find out from the captain, Felix Annan about the head coaches decision to release him from the club.
Owusu failed to impress the technical handlers of the club during the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season and was loaned to Karela United.
Sources say that the 22-year-old former Charity Stars FC defender is deemed surplus to requirements at the Porcupines and would have to find himself a new club before the 2020-21 season kick-start in the country.
