Former Blackburn Rovers and Bournemouth star Robbie Savage has urged Arsenal to go all out and secure the signature of Ghanaian enforcer Thomas Partey in the 2020 summer transfer window.
Savage is convinced that Partey is the missing piece in Mikel Arteta’s midfield and has therefore advocated that the Gunners should sign him from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
“I know Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid has been talked about, I think he would be a good signing.”Savage told BT Sports.
Partey, 26, has been a revelation in the midfield of Atletico Marid this season scoring thrice and providing one assist in 35 games in all competitions.
Aside Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milan, AS Roma, Bayer Munich and Manchester United are all interested in the services of the Ghanaian for next season.
His current deal with the “Rojiblancos” expires on June 30, 2023 but talks are ongoing for an extension which will also see his wages being increased.
Partey’s buy-out clause is 50 Million Euros but the Madrid based club are ready to raise it up to 100 Million Euros in an effort to ward him ward him of from suitors if he signs the new deal deal.
