The Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif has issued a disclaimer on a fake Facebook account.
According to a statement issued by the sector Minister, the account, bearing the name Hon. Mustapha Ussif is not his Facebook account.
Hon. Mustapha Ussif who doubles as MP for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency, took to his Facebook to advise the public to ignore any post outside his original account and further promised to take action against such imposters.
Giving more details, the statement further said, “They go about promising people recruitment into the security services and other government agencies. I wish to place on record that I do not engage in enlistment into security or government agencies. Neither do I demand money to be paid me nor any third party through mobile money.”

My attention has been drawn to deceitful and unscrupulous people using my name on social media to perpetrate fraudulent activities by extorting money from people out here.
They go about promising people recruitment into the security services and other government agencies. I wish to place on record that I do not engage in enlistment into security or government agencies. Neither do I demand money to be paid me nor any third party through mobile money.
I, as a result of this, entreat the general public to act precautiously and report such defrauding activities to the Ghana Police Service or Telcos.
I operate only through this account and its associated page shared on my timeline. Any other account should be regarded as fake.
