Former Asante Kotoko Striker Ahmed Toure has come out of his shells to debunk allegations that the once top scorer in the Ghana Premier League is housing an infectious ailment that was revealed by an Asante Kotoko official at the Players Status Committee of the Ghana football association.
Toure recently signed for FA Cup Champions, Bechem united and is expected to play for the Brong Ahafo club in next season’s league as well as their CAF Confederations cup but this alleged ailment could hinder that. But Toure speaking on Kumasi based Angel Fm said:
“I’m not ill, I know they talk about it ,why didn’t they come out to say it when I was playing for them? but now that I have joined a different team. They have been saying that since 2011 but am still fit”.
Toure later said that he was ready to take the matter up in court as he had already spoken with the managers of Bechem.
“ I have served Kotoko and left in a nice way and don’t want to do anything against the club, but will take the matter on because I underwent a medical before signing for Kotoko’’.
The once favorite player of the porcupine faithful stressed the need to say the truth and not falsehood.
“Anytime there is an issue they say Toure is a bad boy but they have to call a spade a spade, why Ahmed Toure”.
Toure claims there is a man who has been spreading lies about giving him a car and a plot of land upon signing for kotoko.
