Manager of League 1 side Burton Albion, Nigel Clough has expressed excitement with the signing of English-born Ghanaian striker Kwame Thomas.
The 24-year old attacker, joined the Brewers last week from Doncaster Rovers on loan until the end of the season and Nigel is optimistic he can add something special to their attack.
“Kwame Thomas will help us out in the forward department. He was a youngster in the Academy at Derby when we were there, so we know a bit about him,” Burton manager Nigel Clough mentioned.
“He came on for Doncaster against us earlier in the season, caused us problems and he’s a bit different to what we have. He’s big and awkward and will give us a presence in both penalty areas.”
“It’s a deal until the end of the season but we have a few things up in the summer, so he has a chance to impress but he has to get in the team first,” he added.
Born to Ghanaian father and a British mother in Nottingham, Thomas has previously featured for
Derby County, Notts County, Blackpool and others.
Despite being called by England up to the Under 20 level, Kwame Thomas is still eligible to represent Ghana at the senior national team level.
