A delegation from Accra Hearts of Oak on Tuesday evening paid a courtesy call to his Excellency, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House as Samuel Boadu received a big endorsement from the president who is known to be an avid football follower.
“Samuel Boadu is currently one of the very best coaches and together with his captain and the rest of the players I want to encourage you to do more for Hearts and Ghana.” Akufo-Addo said.
“I therefore pledge GH₵1million to support your campaign in the CAF Competitions which I believe will serve as extra motivation to the team to win on Sunday and go on to qualify to the group stages” the President of Ghana said.” the President of the land added.
The visit formed part of activities marking the club’s 110 anniversary celebration which commenced on November 11, 2021.
Hearts of Oak are without a win in the current Ghana Premier League season – three draws and a defeat and were dumped from the CAF Champions League to the Confederation Cup following an abject performance against WAC of Morocco, losing 6-1 away.
