Ghanaian international Kwesi Appiah scored his second goal of the season for NorthEast United who came from behind to draw at Kerala Blasters despite missing a penalty in the game.
The 30-year-old struck for NorthEast in the second half after they were down by two goals
The home side, Kerala Blasters got the lead through Cidoncha who headed home Seityasen free-kick in the 5th minute.
Forward Gary Hooper scored from the spot to give Karla a 2-0 lead.
NorthEast United started the second half much stronger with Kwesi Appiah scrapping through with an equalizer.
Moments later his cross in the box resulted in a penalty, which he fired wide.
Substitute Sylla beautifully guided Gurjinder Kumar’s long ball with his chest before hitting the ball past Kerala’s keeper. The match ended 2-2 and NorthEast United remains unbeaten after two games.
