Ghanaian midfielder, Bernard Morrison netted his 6th league goal of the season in the Tanzanian Premier League on Saturday afternoon away at Namungo FC.
The former AS Vita Club starman came from the bench to score his team’s third goal in their 3-1 comeback victory against a difficult to play side Namungo.
Steve Nzigamasabo found the back of the net for home side after 21 minutes with a sweat left-footed strike from inside the box to the left corner to make it 1-0.
After the break, the visitors raised the tempo of the match and got their reward when Chris Mugalu finished off a nice team play to restore parity for the Red and Whites with 12 minutes to go.
Six minutes to the end of the game, striker John Bocco popped up in the goal area to head home the second goal for Simba following a cross from the right side of attack to make it 2-1.
Three minutes later, the 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder, Morrison scored a goal-of-the-season contender with a chip over the goalkeeper from the center circle into the net to make it 3-1 to the Tanzanian Premier League leaders on the 87th minute with a goal to wow the fans.
Simba won the game with a 3-1 scoreline at the end of the frenetic match.
Bernard Morrison has six goals this season in the Tanzanian Premier League after switching from Young Africans SC to their arch rivals Simba SC.
