Medeama SC defender, Vincent Atinga’s return to the capital to face his former side turned sour as some of the home fans booed him.
The stalwart defender who played full throttle during the epic game endured some torrid time as he was mostly booed by section of the home fans anytime he went hard on the Phobian strikers. Vincent Atinga nearly broke the deadlock in the early minutes of the games when his timely header missed the target narrowly.
The resistance of the Tarkwa based side was however defeated in the in the 41st minutes of the game when Ibrahim Salifu latched on to a deflected shot from Daniel Barnieh to slot in the first goal of the game.
Benjamin Afutu added another in the 58th minute of the game to put the game to bed.
The ex-Al Shabab player however got some applause at the end of the game when showed gratitude to section of the Phobian fans who decided to clap back at his him.
Atinga played for Hearts of Oak couple of seasons ago and was very instrumental when they reached the finals of the FA Cup in 2017.
Hearts of Oak are currently on the top of the log with 53 points.
