Supporters of Amiens SC have taken to Twitter to express their happiness following the confirmation of the signing of Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey on Monday as they expect to see their darling club back to the top flight sooner than later.
The former Dreams FC player – who spent at least three years with Spanish lower tier side Extremadura UD having joined them in July 2017 – signed for the current Ligue 2 campaigners in a deal that runs till 2024.
One supporter wrote in French: ” Bienvenue Emmanuel Lomotey! On compte sur toi ! Hâte de te voir à l’oeuvre” meaning ” Welcome Emmanuel Lomotey. We count on you. Cannot wait to see you start work”.
Another also said : “Bienvenue à lui Bonne poursuite pour les recrutements continué comme ça” which translates into English as ” Welcome to him. Good pursuit may the recruitment continue like this”.
A third fan wrote: “Bienvenue Emmanuel ! En espérant le retour de ton compatriote Opoku !” which means ” Welcome Emmanuel. Hoping for the return of your compatriot Opoku!” in referenc to Nicholas Opoku who joined Amiens SC on loan from Udinese but has since returned to the Italian side following the relegation of the French side.
One man also said ” Putain enfin ! Bienvenue à lui” which means ” Fucking finally , welcome to him”.
