Northern Ladies striker Mukarama Abdulai has been handed her maiden call-up into the Black Queens team after being named in Coach Mercy Tagoe’s 30 preliminary squad for the 2019 WAFU Championship in Ivory Coast.
The Black Maidens striker who shot into fame at the 2018 U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay following her stupendous performance has been promoted to the Black Queens team as they begin preparations for the tournament in Cape Coast on Tuesday 16th April, 2019.
The 17-year old University of Development Student led Ghana to the quarter finals of the tournament, where she scored seven goals before the team painfully lost to eventual finalist Mexico on penalties.
She also won the golden boot award and bronze ball at the World Cup.
The 2019 Women’s WAFU tournament is slated for 8th May and end at 18th May, 2019.
Ghana have been housed in Group B with alongside Mali, Nigeria and Guinea.
