Majeed Waris was only seen once in the Strasbourg team during the last 14 matches of the season as his team finished 15th on the French Ligue 1 standings after 38 games.
The reasons were either due to injury or failure to make the cut and indeed first team football was far from the Ghana attacker who made big name following his top performance in the 6-1 Black Stars win over Egypt in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
This season the 29-year old played just 546 minutes of football in the French championship in some 15 matches scoring a goal and making no assists.
His current deal with the club expires in June 2022 and it is unlikely he will stray any longer than that.
