Ghanaian FIFA referee, Charles Bulu is doing very well after he collapsed on the field during AFCON qualifier between Côte d’Ivoire and Ethiopia in Abidjan.
The center referee was struggling to stand on his feet and was stretched off by the medical team and was sent to the hospital.
The home team, Ivory Coast, were leading by 3-1 at the time the referee collapsed at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny after the players had noticed the referee’s inability to stand on his feet.
The fourth who was an Ivorian was asked to handle the remaining minutes of the match but was not allowed per the CAF regulations as the game ended abruptly.
Both teams booked their place in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations tournament which will be held in Cameroon despite Ethiopia suffering defeat after Madagascar failed to beat Niger at home.
