Hearts of Oak are marking their best ever run in the Ghana Premier League for the first time in so many eyars after going eight matches undefeated.
The team managed by Samuel Boadu – who joined midseason from Medeama SC – have not lost a football match since a 2-0 reverse at Dreams FC in Dawu on May 2nd, 2021.
Hearts of Oak’s record is impressive. In their last 8 games across all competitions, 7 wins, 1 draw, 14 goals scored and 7 clean sheets kept. That run includes the 3-0 win over Liberty Professionals in the MTN FA Cup.
Within that period the Phobians have won against King Faisal, Bechem United, Elmina Sharks, Eleven Wonders, Berekum Chelsea and now Medeama.
Such excellent run of form were common during the 64 Battalion era of the legendary coach Jones Attuquayefieyo and now all Phobians are confident their team would win them the league title for the first time since the 2008/09 success.
