Aduana Stars midfielder, Prince Acquah was named Man-Of-The-Match in his team’s victory over Accra Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC man was very instrumental for the Fire Boys in midfield and his stellar performance was rewarded with a man of of the match award.
Striker, Yahaya Mohammed scored the opening goal of the match on the 44th minute to put the Green and Yellows in a 1-0 lead before the first half whistle was blown by the center referee.
Sixty seconds after the break, Acquah scored a pile driver from almost 40-yards out to put the hosts 2-0 up early in the second half of highly contested game.
There was late drama as Hearts of Oak left-back, Raddy Ovouka missed a spot kick and subsequently missed a glaring chance when he failed to put a loose ball into an empty net.
The game finished 2-0 to the hosts who won their first game of the season to inflict a second leg defeat to their opponents to move out of the relegation zone.
The former Kotoko man received his first Man-Of-The-Match award in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
