Orlando Pirates Chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza has confirmed that Prof. Augusto Palacious will take over the reins as the Club’s interim Head Coach.
There was a press conference on Wednesday afternoon which saw Khoza address the members of the media as well as the Technical Team and players in subsequent sessions, confirming that he had accepted the resignation of head coach Mushin Ertugral.
Ertugral’s resignation came after the Buccaneers’ embarrassing 6-1 loss to SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday night.
Palacios previously held the caretaker position in 2012, when Julio Leal vacated his position as head coach, and subsequently lead the team to the league title.
The 64-year-old will be assisted by Zipho Dlangalala and Bradley Carnell.
