Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has shown his delight with the debut performance of high-flying Ghanaian youngster Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan in the win against Cagliari Calcio on Wednesday.
The youngster has established himself in the Giallorossi’s second team this term which led to his first senior team appearance on Wednesday night.
The118-year-old was offered the chance to shine when he made his bow in the Italian top-flight on Wednesday after coming on for Matias Vina in the 57th minute when Roma were trailing by 1-0 at the Sardegna Arena.
He took his chance and delivered a decent performance in the game to announce himself in Mourinho’s team.
Roma came from behind thanks to goals from Roger Ibanez and Lorenzo Pellegrini to clinch a 2-1 victory on the road.
The excited Mourinho posted after the game and was clearly impressed with the performance of the youngster.
