Kumasi Asante Kotoko has appointed Johnson Smith as interim coach for the club after the sack of Maxwell Konadu.
The Porcupine Warriors announced the club’s decision to part ways with the gaffer after their historic loss to Accra Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko suffered their first defeat of the season in one of their two Ghana Premier League outstanding game against Accra Great Olympics in Accra on Thursday afternoon.
The club in a statement on Friday morning said: ”Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect,”
The statement added that ”Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in the interim.”
