Balikesirspor forward Mahatma Otoo has backed the Black Stars to whip Sierra Leone in the 2019 AFCON qualifier next week despite snub by coach Kwasi Appiah.
The former Hearts of Oak striker was not invited once again by Coach Kwasi Appiah despite his splendid performance in the Turkish Lig 1.
Despite being snubbed, Otoo has still thrown his weight behind Kwasi Appiah and his charges and hopes a for a massive score line against the Leone Stars in Kumasi.
“Ghana have a strong team capable of beating Sierra Leone whether with me or without me,” Otoo told 442gh.com
”Frankly, I am not happy that I was not invited because every player wants to play for their national team but I’m not too worried because I know I’ll soon be part of the team.
“One thing we should all know is that, whether I am invited or not, Ghana is my country and I have to support the team all the time. Yes I want to play but at the same time I am a big fan of the national team,” Otoo added.
The Black Stars will host the Leone Stars on October 11 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the third group clash of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
The reverse leg is however comes off four days later in Freetown.
Ghana are already on top of Group F on same points with Kenya with superior goal difference after two matches.
