Ghanaian international winger, Ernest Asante scored a brace for Omonia Nicosia as they thrashed Anorthosis 3-0 in the Cyprus top-flight on Tuesday evening.
The 32-year-old winger scored the first goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after five minutes of play to help Omonia Nicosia settle very early in the game.
Fotis Papoulis added the second goal for the Green and Whites side on the 27th minute mark to make it 2-0 to the home team before the break.
Four minutes after the recess, Asante scored his first brace in the Cyprus Premier League this season for his team Omonia Nicosia as they thumped Anorthosis 3-0 at home to go third on the league table with 29 points from fifteen matches with a game in hand.
