Captain of the U-20 side Black Satellites, Daniel Afriyie has reavealed the mental state of the players in camp before their second game of the tourney.
Daniel Barnieh has disclosed the state of apprehension that gripped the team prior to their second group game against the Moroccans in the African Youth Championship in Mauritania.
“The team we were scared of was morocco from number one to number 11every single player was superb they played as a team and everything was intact, we were very scared of them but when we met them we played them boot for boot then we drew with them” Daniel Barnieh said in an interview monitored on GTV Sports plus.
Daniel Barnieh was the hero on the day when the Black Satellite dispatched Uganda in the final by two goals to nil. The last time Ghana won a continental trophy was in 2009 when the U-20 won the trophy in Cameroon.
