The Pharaohs of Egypt trashed Comoros by 4-0 in the last match of the 2021 AFCON qualification tournament on Monday night in a 250-minute show of supremacy as Liverpool star Mohamed Salah got a brace.
Both nations have qualified for the tournament finals next year but the national team of Salah and friends finished the series undefeated : 3 wins and 3 draws.
Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny opened the scoring in the 15th minute and Al Ahly forward Mohamed Sherif made it 2-0 just two minutes later.
Mohammed Salah – 119 goals for Liverpool in 192 games – made it 3-0 and 4-0 in the 21st and 25th minutes respectively.
The most successful African national team are one of the strongest favorites to win the 2021 AFCON.
