Bayer Leverkusen versatile defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has admitted he is a staunch supporter of Ghana Premier League heavyweights Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The 24-year-old has been in Ghana for the first time in over since years to enjoy his summer holidays, where he was met with an invitation to Accra-based radio station Happy 98.9FM.
The former Manchester United youngster becomes the latest foreign talent to have made declared their love for the Porcupine Warriors.
Speaking on Happy Sports, the Netherlands international said: “I support Asante Kotoko though I haven’t followed Ghana football that much. Kotoko is a tradition [for the family].”
“Hopefully I will now follow some games in the Ghana Premier League.”
The defender had his 2020/21 season truncated after an injury in Leverkusen’s 1-2 loss to Freiburg in the Bundesliga in February.
