German-born Ghanaian defender Kofi Yeboah Schulz has signed a new contract with Austrian Bundesliga side SKN St. Polten.
Graphic Sports reports that Schulz contract with the NV Arena outfit was expected to expire on July 20, 2020 but he has now appended his signature to a fresh two year deal which will take him to the summer of 2022.
Schulz who operates as a left-back has been one of the most exciting defenders in the Austrian topflight this season making ten appearances, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
The 30-year-old lateral defender joined St. Polten in February this year from second-tier outfit Amstetten and has risen to become one of the key players in Manager Alexander Schmidt’s side.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Berlin, Schulz has featured for clubs including Hertha Berlin, Bel-bienne, Milton Keynes Dons, St. Gallen and a host of others.
Schulz is yet to be capped by either Ghana or Germany at any level.
