Turkish club Fenerbahce are ready to sign Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen on loan from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven this summer, SportsworldGhana.com can exclusively report.
The Yellow and Navy blues are seriously in search of a dependable defender to revamp their squad ahead of the new season and seems to have placed their satellite on the Dutch-born Ghanaian international for a season-long loan deal.
Luckassen, 24, struggled last season on loan under Pal Dardai at Hertha BSC as he manged to make only four appearances to injury.
The versatile defender upon returning to Holland after the expiration of his loan spell with the German side, has so far made 3 Champions League appearances for PSV and also featured in their Johan Cruyff Super Cup 2-0 defeat to Ajax last month.
Derrick Luckassen who has represented the Netherlands at the youth levels but eligible to play for the Black Stars is a brother to Kevin Luckassen, Brian Brobbey Luckassen, and Samuel Brobbey who are all professional footballers playing in Holland.
The lanky right-back can also operate from the left-back and central defense.
