Ghanaian footballer Ishmael Yartey has joined Alta IF, a Norwegian club, for an undisclosed fee.
Yartey has passed his medical exams and signed a contract with the Alta Idrettspark team.
The Sporting Coordinator for Alta IF Fotball, Andre Dorgset Donjar, confirms that Yartey is now ready to join the club.
Currently playing in the third tier of the Norwegian football league system, 2. division, Alta IF is Yartey’s latest destination in a career that has taken him to many countries, including France, Portugal, Switzerland, USA, Finland, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
Yartey, who represented Ghana U-17 (Black Starlets) in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea Republic, was also called up for two of the Ghana national team’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
